Lambros Avgerinos is one of the world’s most experienced in canine behavior and scent detection and training. Raised inside a an Auburn University college of veterinary medicine canine research facility by specialist veterinarian parents with PhDs in genetics, Lambros has spent over 32 years immersed in pack behavior, scent theory, and behavioral analysis accumulating over 150,000 hours immersed in dogs. At no point in his life has he lived with fewer than 15 dogs, and he has donated thousands upon thousands of hours toward service dog training, disaster response, and public initiatives.
Lambros is the founder and CEO of Love My Dog Inc., a trailblazing service dog training and boarding company with a mission to provide high-level support to individuals with diabetes, PTSD, autism, seizures, cardiac conditions, and more—many at no cost to the handler. Through DiabeticAlertDogs.org, SeizureAlertDogs.org, and AutismDogs.org, Lambros is establishing a national standard for medical alert dog training rooted in real-life application, not marketing gimmicks.
As the creator of The Dog Coach, he operates a highly successful dog training and detection services brand across the southeastern United States. Lambros is also a founder of the International Council for Detection Dog Certifiers (ICDDC) and ICDDT, building the gold standard in deployment and certification protocols for remains detection, mold detection, allergen detection, and medical alert canines.
Through MoldDogs, Lambros offers mold dog inspections and trains certified mold detection dogs for sale nationwide. His team has helped identify dangerous VOCs in family homes that have gone undetected by traditional methods, saving lives and restoring health in the process.
Lambros also leads search and recovery missions, having coordinated with local governments, the FBI, and independent volunteers after mass casualty events, including the July 2025 Texas floods. His goal is to restore ethics and coordination to the world of disaster response, bringing dignity back to families searching for lost loved ones. He advocates for equal treatment in search deployments for all people, regardless of race, gender identity, or socioeconomic background.
He is also the visionary behind Container Home Collective, which leverages cabin and container home sales to fund deployment logistics, training scholarships, and housing assistance for disabled individuals and disaster survivors.
Lambros’ training programs are deeply rooted in science, combining elite-level operational deployment with a philosophy of compassion, precision, and practical outcomes. His work bridges the gap between elite-level performance and real-world accessibility—proving that the best training doesn’t come from a title, but from a lifetime of commitment.
